2012.

1. What did you do in 2013 that you'd never done before?
As in last year, LIKE A MILLION THINGS, JESUS:

- experience a house fire
- fight ceaselessly with insurance companies
- NICE THINGS okay COMPETE IN A TRIATHLON
- attend 2 different weddings in under 48 hours
- ate at in n out burger!

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I kind of forget what my resolutions were last year. "Do more crafts" I think did not come to pass, although I did knit a sweater for my sister for Christmas. Not as much in the branching out. In 2014 I would like to:

- travel outside the country
- work on my Urdu
- do some kind of paper craft

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No!

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No!

5. Which countries did you visit?
This one! A lot!

6. What would you like to have in 2014 that you lacked in 2013?
Can I just quote from last year for a hot second:
"Gosh. A stable routine. 2012 will be one of the most memorable years of my life, probably, but the sine wave of the year was a little dramatic for a pattern, I think. Just to live a life that I like that won't change in three months"

HAHHAHAHAHAH. HAHAHAH! THANKS FOR THAT CURSE, 2012 SELF! Christ on a cracker. I would like to have my home back, in 2014. That's basically the baseline of things that I want for next year. I want to not have to call six to eight different people and play bad cop to get any information ever about what is happening. HOME.

7. What dates from 2013 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
March 21. Not fun times.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting through this fucking thing.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Not taking care of myself. Taking stress out on others.

My routine wisdom tooth removal went excitingly sideways enough that I spent my wedding anniversary in the emergency room, five days after the surgery.

Friends & family, as always. My new boss. Several friends who went above and beyond in helping me to not have a complete (instead of partial) meltdown this year.

My former boss. Thanks for all the anxiety!

My winter vacation!! Nerdburgh. The triathlon. Going to Swan Lake and the Nutcracker!
